David Montreuil from Osoyoos was awarded the CREATE A STAR beneficiary for 2011 and will compete in 2 events on the “Hi5 Pro Tourwww.hi5protour.com  this coming winter in Spain as well as assist in the tournament organization of the tour. David’s passion for the game as well as the practice ethic he possesses were the winning criteria in the inaugural season of the program. On his 6 week stay, David will have the chance to fine tune his skills during the winter months before returning to Canada in the spring. Brian Petreny, a former top junior player from Osoyoos who due to family commitments was unable to pursue his golfing career at a young age decided this year to dedicate himself to his game was also awarded an entry into one of the Hi5 Pro Tour events this winter. Brian who is now 30 years of age, but went from a 3 handicap to currently a +.1 has shown he has the game to compete at a high level. Both David and Brian will now have the opportunity to compete against some of the top professionals and amateurs from throughout Europe. It will be a huge experience for both golfers as they travel to a foreign country and play against top golfers from around the globe.
